It has been a while since my last blog post I am so sorry about that Christmas, New Year and then starting my 2nd semester of University have literally flown by!
I thought the best way to get back into it is by a lovey dovey little blog post as we are just over a week away from Valentines Day. If any of you out there are thinking of a last minute spontaneous getaway (even you singleton’s out there) here are some great suggestions for some cute breaks in the UK.
- Asphodel Cottage, Cotswolds
I am feeling ‘The Holiday’ vibes (if any of you have seen that film, don’t tell me you don’t wanna have that Cameron Diaz experience) and you never know…if you are a singleton you may find your Jude Law! Sit back and relax with a log fireplace, a Queen size bed and you even have your own private walled garden. If you want to go on a little stroll then you can enjoy the beautiful Tarlton and walk around the country lanes. (psst…best of all its only from £80 per night https://martin-jenner.squarespace.com/prices/#how-to-book)
2. Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel, Lake District
Now for a more quintessentially English romantic getaway. I’m not gonna lie I had no idea Laura Ashley did hotels but here we are. The bedrooms are all stylishly decorated and they currently have their own Valentines Day packages from £475. This package includes 2 nights minimum stay, 1 5 course dinner and 1 3 course dinner. (once you see the pictures…you’ll understand the higher price http://www.lauraashleyhotels.com/thebelsfield/specialoffers/specialoffers_191-en.html).
3. The Shard & Royal Horseguards Hotel Package, London
Either as a couple or with one of your best friends get down to London and take advantage of the incredibly shops and restaurants. If you’re a couple The Shard has been voted as “The Most Romantic View” and they’re not wrong (prices start from £25.95pp; http://www.theviewfromtheshard.com/en/tickets-packages/ticket-information/).
